Missing teeth can greatly affect your confidence. You may feel embarrassed to smile or you may find that a missing tooth causes you pain when chewing.
Dental implants are the best solution to missing teeth. Patients from Rickmansworth, Chorleywood, Croxley Green, Northwood and throughout Hertfordshire are choosing Inspire Dental Care to replace missing teeth with dental implants because:

Dental implants are the option for patients who:
Your first step in the dental implant process begins with a free consultation where we look forward to talking to you more about the dental implant process.
We’ll recommend the dental implant treatment that best suits your needs. Your personalised plan will outline the treatment, what to expect throughout the process, and the associated costs.
0% finance is available for up to 24 months on selected implant treatments, subject to terms and conditions.
Your mouth and gums may feel sore following surgery, but this can usually be managed with paracetamol. Any discomfort should start to settle within a few days. We then allow around 3–6 months for the implant to fully integrate with your jawbone. This process, known as osseointegration, is an important part of ensuring your implant is stable and secure.
After the healing period of approximately 3–6 months, our laboratory will create your bespoke implant crown or bridge, carefully designed to fit your implants with precision and complement your smile.
Dental implants, dentures and dental bridges all have their advantages and disadvantages. Dental implants are often considered better than dentures and bridges because:
The pain experienced during dental implant surgery is mild to minimal. You will be given a local anaesthetic during the procedure so that you do not feel anything. After the treatment has finished, your mouth may be sore for up to 72 hours. This is completely manageable with paracetamol.
This will depend upon the type of dental implants that you are having. Usually, a single dental implant is completed in less than an hour. Your gums will need to heal, and the dental implant needs to integrate with your jaw which can take from 3-6 months.
Depending on your bone loss or if you are having an immediate implant then you will require a little bone grafting which is carried out at the same time as the tooth extraction and immediate implant placement in most cases thus saving you time and more invasive surgery. At Inspire Dental Care in Rickmansworth, our lead implant surgeon Dr Mahesh Patel practices minimally invasive flapless surgery where possible which is mostly pain-free implant placement which leads to quicker healing.
In suitable cases, an immediate implant can be placed straight after the tooth is removed, helping to reduce treatment time and preserve the surrounding bone.
Most healthy adults with missing teeth may be suitable for implants. Your dentist will assess your oral and general health, jawbone and gum condition to determine the most appropriate treatment.
